Cameron utilized a new generation stereoscopic cameras. In other words, strapped two cameras together providing a different perspective on a scene which would mimic how the human eye perceives the world in three dimensions. mailonline.co.uk

Unfortunately Avatar’s script is weak and does not match the ingenuity of this technology and production. The hollywood cliches do however appeal to the masses and have resulted in a box office hit. It is a business after all.
